When arriving home a box full of products Peck there are two possible reactions: 1) verify the contents and get busy eating everything. 2) getting tied up like Ulysses with sirens to avoid ending up in the dramatic net spread from pig's trotters, wine, nougat and the like. The first option is recommended if a person can be defined as an eating competition otherwise best avoided, otherwise the risk of ὔβρις to sin and do the same to the undersigned.
However, among the various products in case there was also this bottle of Aglianico a company unknown to me. Consult the critical apparatus aka the guide I found it was rather a company listed on Puglia, rightly I must say. Color
beautiful, intense red, almost black. Nose not bad at all: very large number of tobacco and berries, licorice aftertaste. Alcohol zero, zero tannin and I was impressed. Scroll to the language that is a marvel.
excellent acidity in the mouth, a sign of a wine to age well. Dry, full, powerful but balanced. There is the beauty del'aglianico in this bottle, there is harmony in what many call, quite rightly in my opinion, the Barolo of the south.
The fermentation occurs in stainless steel and feels well: the flavor is fresh and clean.
The perfect marriage for this bottle? The stuffed pigeon or a nice roast suckling pig with myrtle with potatoes.
