pythos 2009, Bordeaux vs Burgundy

Sicilian wines have (not all of course) some particular defects typical, or better, have features that I consider to be defects because they are not part of my taste in wine. For example is alcohol excessively and have a terribly annoying tannin, often caused by overuse of wood.

Here, this wine clearly distances itself from this situation. The tannin is practically nonexistent, and for one simple reason: So, this excellent producer in Sicily, the wood does not even use a little '. Pythos fact aged in amphorae terracotta. That's right, the wine is aged in 400 liter jars and did not end here: this company can certainly be counted among the fully biodynamic. It uses only natural yeasts and the wine is free of foreign substances of any kind.

The result of this attention you see. Pythos is the union of Nero d'Avola (60%) and frappato of Victoria (40%), two grape very powerful, difficult to harness without a bomb exploding in alcohol. The farm and what we can but very, very well.

The color is beautiful, a reddish hue, not the dark, almost black, typical of Sicilian wines. The nose is delicate and harmonious red fruits and a bit 'of tobacco in his mouth but is reserving the most beautiful surprise: light but firm, very well balanced and the alcohol is practically nonexistent. It drinks really easily and never fails. Loved the final but more especially a long one. The

really know what pussy? Drink a glass of pythos on the couch while reading an article by David Garland ( "criminal abuse and excess of meaning. The public torture lynchings in America as the twentieth century" ) and cold outside. Very nice.

Brent Corrigan Everett Full

The challenge has hundreds of years and involves fans around the world.

Someone Bordeaux, Burgundy others. One can hardly be both: the first lovers usually do not like the second.

My opinion is obvious, useless to repeat it again. Mind you that the choice for one rather than the other is not so obvious, indeed, shows very specific tastes. The lover of Bordeaux

the power to recognize, has characteristics all its own. The same can be said for the lover of Burgundy. Two choices, two different conceptions of wine, two different views of life.

For what concerns me, I had confirmation of the absolute superiority of the Burgundy wine last week. I went to a tasting of Bordeaux, some of the highest level. Here, I have impressed him, ever. Flavor standard, each bottle is very similar to the other and then over power. It has this feature because Bordeaux is a wine "violent", which fills the mouth, too, in my opinion. The flavors then are (personal opinion of course) always the same: often reminiscent of the classic supertuscan, at least someone. Gravy, cranberry and a tannin that is hard to disappear or otherwise become at least tolerable.

With Burgundy we're on another planet, subtlety, complexity, a flavor that makes each bottle different. What defines someone as weak or little substance is really delicate, balanced, sometimes in a masterly manner, with the power, you got it is not true that the wine is Burgundy Loffi, quite the opposite: the pinot noir is capable of being very powerful, exploding in a myriad of notes at the right time.

difficult pinot noir grapes, hard to handle, difficult to understand but is able to offer sublime feelings for those who can appreciate it.

And you? You Bordeaux or Burgundy?

... and then there's him, Puligny-Montrachet, the wonder of white Burgundy. Yes, for heaven's sake, the Loire can be a wonderful surprise in Italy and some Sicilian whites are able to express unbeatable quality, but here we are just on another planet, we are at the top of the world production of white wine (cited).

In the film Match Point, the main character, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, claimed to be employed, almost drugged. How to blame him?

Mr. Langoureau Burgundy is a great producer, able to pull out of genuine pearls. The difficulty of the great wines of Burgundy, red or white they are, is to manage the vast area of \u200b\u200bits composition. Everything is based on a delicate balance and the skill of their producers is to manage to balance such a power with a finesse that turns heads. Here, this man succeeds in masterly fashion.

The bottle is full of flavors, smells, while still young is already able to deliver features that many Italian wines can not pull out even after years and years of aging. Outstanding color and nose incredible feel all citrus fruits as possible (I hit the final files). He feels the pineapple, orange and apple.

The mouth then it is fresh, clean, full. You hear the wood, but in a positive sense of course. One can see that behind this bottle is a masterful ability to use the barrels. Minerality and amazing length in the mouth just embarrassing. Think about what is ripe for a wine so wonderful, think it may still express.

Value for money is just ridiculous. If my teacher knew that alcohol do all this publicity to the producer in question, and not a little angry. Yeah I guess his words: "we must keep the secret, Langoureau is not even on the tracks, if you were to discover his value, the price would skyrocket, then silence!" .

Fortunately this blog read it in 4, including the owner, so I do not have these problems.

you who follow my ravings, keep the secret!

I tried it with a risotto with endive, bad combination.

New Year's Eve Church Street

Valentine's Day every day!

Monday was Valentine's Day but as I said even last year this holiday ... I'm not crazy and does not usually celebrate the 14 ... or at least not too many people crammed in restaurants too many boxes of chocolates flying here and there with the risk of being buried alive:) and especially too much waste of flowers!

And then how do you celebrate only one day of the year if you're in love every day! : D (here the honey is wasted but what can you do .... Are sugary and not just because I take coffee with two heaped teaspoons full of sugar: D)

But most of all ... what if on any day comes your amoruccio with a thought so beautiful!

IMG_1662

... and so last week I was at the supermarket to do shopping and I dropped the watch over these chocolates, a favorite of Andrea (not wrong because they are delicious, although I prefer the dark).

So I thought I'd give him a small gift:) IMG_1553

Obviously I customized a bit 'box:) IMG_1558

For Andrea liked it so much: D

Oh yes! Valentine's Day is definitely here every day ... or at least we try:) kisses kisses

Ale PS: But you liked the cupcakes (the recipe is that the cards: D)?? let me know:)

What Does A Green Wristband Do For You

Clos Naudin Vouvray moelleux 1999, Philippe Foreau

As I said, the new frontier is the Loire. New for someone like me, are not very familiar with wines of this kind.

Mind you, I was not totally devoid of knowledge about this region ethyl (I say wonderful) but the French certainly have not tried it so many producers as I did, for example, to Burgundy.

This bottle is simply spectacular. The color first: a dark yellow, intense yet brilliant. The nose is magic in there is all the Loire. Plaster combined with honey then leave room for a wonderful aroma of pears.

taste is even better: dramatic acidity, balanced, harmonious, combined with a sweetness that never fails. Final Marathon apricot.

We are clearly in front of a bottle portentous that deserves a great food to accompany. I tried it with a sort of pate typical of the Loire, really exceptional, but for which at this moment I do not remember the name (someone can help me in this regard?).

A wine that just needs something else to be perfect.

Best Abort Clinics Usa

Pomino 2009, Frescobaldi

Marchesi de Frescobaldi I am a producer famous throughout the world. Suffice it to say that the wine bar that bears their name is also found in Harrods, London. We're talking about words of one of those brands in the world in some way, representing Italy. Classic Tuscan

imprint of the last period, that of supertuscan. It is not a case that the Americans like them so much. The

Pomino is one of their white base: it is a blend of chardonnay and pinot blanc. Beautiful color, light yellow, brilliant. Nose but not very interesting: it feels very vanilla, I think, due to use, maybe too much of the wood. Rosemary and fishing. The scents are not overwhelming, however.

The mouth is very cool, but instead is totally lacking in acidity. Nice but short. Discreet minerality. Wine is still very young though.

Excellent as an aperitif, in my opinion makes her a good impression with the vegetables without too much oil or hard cheeses.

Try it but do not expect too much.

PS I'm leaving, I'll see / read in a week. Well and drink to your health!

List Of Legendary Pokemonpokemon Crater

Recioto 2008 Soave Classico, Cantina di Soave

Background: Every time I try a Venetian wine or Franciacorta, I call my friend Charles, convinced that he is an expert in this kind of bottles. In other words, I attribute to him (wrongly) a skill that he, as an absolute scoundrel, he can not have. When I saw this wine I immediately called to ask for an opinion. Flaunting a

safety of other times I was politely but strongly discouraged to buy it. But I have not heard, he was convinced that the usual braggart who actually drink alcohol only Tavernelle.

Here, it cost me to admit it, because after reading this will laugh at me, but he was right.
That's right, the rogue was actually right.

The wine is nothing special. Pleasant but nothing more. Lacks acidity and is also weak in the mouth. Beautiful nose of fishing, but weak on the tongue, too weak. A distant hint of honey and candied fruit. Final (very short) of almonds.

I do not know if they are more angry about the disappointment caused by a wine from which I expected much more, or (very likely) be compelled to account Charles the scoundrel.

Tiromancino, is important to me.
